Hello YouthLearn-ers!
For those of you in the Boston area, YouthLearn will be offering a
training in Boston this Friday, September 17th from 9am to 4pm. An
abridged form of our workshop on "Envisioning a Continuum for Powerful
Learning" will be the morning component of a day-long event organized by CTCNet, TechMission, and the Alliance for Technology Access. Through case
study analysis and discussion, we will share successes and challenges of
program development and determine characteristics of powerful activities
for young people.
During lunch, there will be a showing of Freedom Machines, a documentary
which takes a new look at disability through the lens of assistive
technology.
In the afternoon, there will be an informational session about The
Connections for Tomorrow grants for capacity building and program
development for organizations serving at-risk youth or homeless
populations. More information about these grants can be found at: http://www.ctcnet.org/c4t/grants/
The event will be held at:
The Boston Foundation
75 Arlington Street, 10th Floor
Boston, MA 02116
This is a free event, but registration is still required. You can
register at: http://www.ctcnet.org/c4t/grants/rsvp.asp
It will be a packed, and productive day. We hope to see you there!
If you have any questions, please do get in touch!
