Hello fellow educators!

The YouthLearn Initiative and the Educational Video Center request your
help in developing a learning network of educators who have worked on (or
would like to work on) media projects with young people. We have
developed a survey to determine your past experiences with leading media
projects with young people, as well as things you'd like to learn or gain.

The survey is at: http://surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=668231175431

Typically, "youth media projects" refer to activities that engage a group
of young people in the production of a media work that can take many forms
(audio, video, digital art, web, etc.). These projects often provide
young people with a new perspective on their learning, the community they
live in and the broader media culture.

The information from this survey will be used to develop a learning
network for educators that will provide rich resources, curriculum and
professional development opportunities for teachers and youth media
educators around the country. So, if you are interested in youth media
(even just a little bit!), we'd love to hear from you.

The survey should take about take ten minutes to complete. We will keep
you updated on the findings. If you have any questions, you may contact
Haejung at: hchung at edc.org.

We thank you in advance for your time and effort.

Sincerely,

YouthLearn at EDC
