Father Jeff Wins 2005 Toni Stone Innovative Initiative Award
Father Jeff after being awarded the Toni Stone Innovative Initiative Award.<http://www.hopeworks.org/emails/images/fr.jeff_ctcnet3.jpg> Ten youth and three Hopeworks staff attended the Community Technology Center Network Conference in Cleveland, Ohio. It was a great experience with 7 youth presenting during a 90-minute session. They stole the show!
During the final luncheon, to the surprise of all, Father Jeff was awarded the Toni Stone Innovative Initiative Award. The Toni Stone Innovative Initiative Award was established in 1996 as a way of recognizing special contributions made by an individual at a CTCNet member center. This award honors an individual who has demonstrated innovation in the field and a commitment to impacting people's lives.
Father Jeff Wins 2005 Toni Stone Innovative Initiative Award<http://www.hopeworks.org/emails/images/awards_jeff.jpg> Uncharacteristically speechless, Father Jeff invited all the Hopeworks youth up to the stage to receive the award with him. The over 400 people gave the youth a standing ovation! It was a great moment for all.
Like so many things at Hopeworks, this particular trip was made possible by many generous benefactors---St. Ignatius Jesuit High School Community provided housing, Enterprise Leasing helped with transportation and CTCNet was generous with registration fees. That doesn't even mention each of you who have helped support Hopeworks through donations of money, services and sweat equity! Truly this award is for each of you and all of us at Hopeworks. Thanks!
