Hello all,
The Safer Foundation is looking for a Program Manager for its Adult Education program, called the P.A.C.E. Institute (Programmed Activities for Correctional Education), which is located in the Cook County Jail (Chicago, IL). See the announcement below. (Some notes: if you are of a Criminal Justice background, be mindful that this is an EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM and that the Safer Foundation is a social service agency. If you have an education background, be mindful that that this position requires some guts and grit...the Cook County Jail is not for the weak-bellied! There are locking wrought-iron gates, doors and elevators, you have to seek permission to roam the premises, must interact w/ some interesting people etc.... However, as a former PACE staff member, I had tons of fun and loved working at PACE. I can give you the inside scoop. Just send me an email. However, to apply directly, see the announcement below.
Good Luck!
