These are some of my son's thoughts that I'd like to share and he will be using his for e-books and e-documents in class! He is a different thinker. He is now looking at which colleges to apply to...online of course! but not to go to online!

There is a use for Palm-based phones in class, but it doesn't
necessarily involve SMS, as these devices have the capability to
browse the internet and check e-mail. Palm-based objects, like the RIM
BlackBerry, allow users to view, send, receive, and write documents.
These documents could be anything from the days notes and assignments
to e-books. This capability added with the small size makes it more
than convenient to do some quick studying anytime and almost anywhere.

As for receiving any form of government or corporate services on
mobile phones during class, there is almost no chance that it'd
happen.
