**Announcing a New Opportunity for School and District Leaders at the 2006
National AfterSchool Association Conference**

For the first time ever, the National AfterSchool Association (NAA, formerly
NSACA) will host a "School and District Leaders Forum" as a special
programming strand at its 2006 Conference in Louisville. The School and
District Leaders Forum will address the hottest after-school issues facing
principals, district administrators, and school board members --
accountability, program evaluation, community engagement, and more! Join
local educators and national experts from organizations such as the
Afterschool Alliance, Kentucky School Boards Association, Institute for
Educational Leadership, National Association of Elementary School
Principals, and others for a series of highly interactive and informative
sessions, including:

Thursday, February 23rd
*	Opening Plenary: The Promise of Afterschool Programs

Friday, February 24th
*	Afterschool and Community Schools: A Breakfast Conversation
*	Public Policy and Advocacy: It's Never the Same Story Twice (joint
session with other Forums)
*	Financing and Partnerships: Keys to Sustainability
*	From Arts to Service to Wellness: Making Programming Powerful

Participants in the School and District Leaders Forum are also welcome to
attend other conference events, including the opening keynote by Stedman
Graham, exhibit hall, celebration luncheons, best practice workshops, and
program site visits.

Please share this announcement with your school and district colleagues, and
plan to join NAA in Louisville! For more information about the conference
and registration details, visit www.naaconference.org
