Missouri-Columbia invites applicants for AmeriCorps*VISTA positions to

the University to create regional pipelines for young people interested
in starting new ventures. VISTA members will work in one of four
specializations: 1) Youth Enterpriser Education; 2) Youth Enterpriser
Mentoring; 3) Youth Enterpriser Financing; or 4) Youth Enterpriser

VISTA members will work with a local team and be part of a statewide
network of professionals working in entrepreneurship and enterprise
development.
Positions are ideal for recent college graduates, or persons looking to
move into a youth development, business education, workforce
development, or community and economic development career.
Background: The Extension Youth Enterprisers Program is a partnership
between the University of Missouri's Community Enterprise &
Entrepreneurial Development (CEED) Program, the 4-H Center for Youth
Development, and select communities across the state. The program is
working to build the capacity of select communities for supporting
entrepreneurship as an economic development strategy. Targeted
participants include middle and high school age youth who are interested
in entrepreneurship as a profession, or who have ideas and plans for new
ventures. The goal of the project is to create regional pipelines of
support for youth entrepreneurs, and to strengthen communities in
