POSITION OPENING: DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

The Oakland Park School of Technology is conducting a search for a
Director of Development.  Deadline for application for this position is
open .  Applicants are encouraged to apply early as decisions will be made

Job Description:

Director of Development will advance the mission of the Oakland Park
School of Technology by planning, organizing, and implementing strategies
to strengthen and expand the school’s programming and the organizational
structure of the Technology Alliance of Central Ohio (TACO).

Specific Duties:

Recruit volunteers; coordinate and participate in volunteer trainings;
devise and update volunteer manual; develop and implement volunteer
program evaluation instruments.

Plan and implement fundraising strategy; identify resource requirements;
research funding streams; develop relationship with potential donors;
secure gifts to support facilities and programs.

Evaluate current programs; direct outreach to community members; ensure
promotion, delivery, and quality of programming.

Collaborate with Executive Director to ensure School and Technology
Alliance’s mission, programs, products and services are consistently
presented in a strong, positive image to stakeholders.

Minimum Education Requirement: Associate’s Degree or equivalent
combination of education and experience.

Skills desired: Superior writing, speaking, interpersonal, word processing
and editing skills required.  Office experience and database-building
skills a plus.
Compensation:
Overall, this position is a great opportunity for someone who wants to
gain a resume-building office experience coordinating and developing
programs. Americorps VISTA members make a one-year commitment to
Americorps. There is a monthly stipend of $840, plus basic health benefits
and various trainings throughout the year, including and all-expenses paid
training in Chicago. An additional education award of approximately $4,725
is also available upon completion of one year's service. Basic health
insurance also provided.
Hours: Five days per week 9:00 am-3:00pm.
