Hi Patrick,

My name is Lars and I coordinate a network geared toward engaging
youth in international rights-based issues through the arts.
activities in the past have focused heavily on hiv/aids -- bringing
the 'visual voice' of children and youth to policy makers and the
public at large through internationally exhibited murals. other
issues i am beginning to explore are human trafficking, children in
conflict, and children and waste.

Right now I am encouraging schools and other places young people
gather to learn to sign up for our World AIDS Day 2007 (December 1)
activities -- the idea is that by exploring this issue through the
arts, young people can produce works that can be used as a medium of
cultural exchange, awareness raising, and self-advocacy.

You can learn a little more about the effort at http://
www.peacetiles.net -- I'd love to chat with you further if these
seems the right direction for you.

Very best,

lars
