Recently HOME, Inc. received funding from the Boston Foundation New Economy
Initiative to fund a position to provide additional coordination for the
media lab partnerships. I am actively looking for someone who can focus on
developing and supervising a volunteer program , mentoring program, and
internship placement program for students for each of the labs, that will be
customized to the needs at each location. Here is the job posting. Hopefully

HOME, Inc. is a 30 year old media arts and media literacy non-profit
organization that works in partnership with the Boston Public Schools and
the Boston Neighborhood Network to provide teacher training and support to
help youth analyze and produce media. HOME, Inc. is seeking a Program
Manager with outstanding communication and organizational skills to oversee
and ensure successful implementation of the our Community Media Lab
Partnerships at Boston High Schools ( 2 now with the possibility of adding
two more this year). The Program Manager will report to the Executive
Director. Job responsibilities will include:
Ensure a successful program at each school by effectively supporting site
coordinators( VISTA's) and creating needed program materials
Work with site coordinators to sustain teachers' and principals'
enthusiasm for program
Recruit, train and support volunteers, mentors and interns to work with
media lab site coordinators, teachers and students.
Develop guidelines for effectively working with students and teachers
Ensure accurate database records of volunteers mentors and interns
Conduct orientation sessions for new volunteers, mentors and interns
Meet regularly with Executive Director, school leaders and staff regarding
program growth and maintenance
Assist in developing new sites.

QUALIFICATIONS:
HOME, Inc. is seeking a high-energy Program Manager who is mission- driven
and self-directed, skilled at volunteer management and customer service, and
excited about working in a school and education environment.
Other requirements include:
An interest in media literacy and a passion for working to help young
adults succeed.
Minimum of a B.A., Master's degree preferred.
At least 2-3 years of experience in a results-oriented,
relationship-focused for-profit or nonprofit organization.
Ability to plan, prioritize, and coordinate multiple projects
simultaneously.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
Compensation for this position is commensurate with experience. HOME, Inc.
