This sounds valuable, but Suzanne, would you share with us what will happen with the research and how it will be reported back? Besides some limited chance at a gift certificate, what will the youth service providers community get back at the end? Is there USDA funding for youth staff training or something else?

Thanks.
- David

Dear Youth Program Staffer:

If you work with youth (ages 10 - 18) during out-of-school time hours,
we

need your help!

A team from the University of Nevada, Reno is conducting an
international

web-based survey of adults who work directly with youth (ages 10 - 18)
in

non-school time programs. This is a follow-up survey to one we
conducted

two years ago. We again are asking for your help to complete and
distribute

this short survey. The purpose of the study is to examine the
relationship

between a youth worker's job satisfaction and plans to continue working
with

youth, and their perception of:

. their skills in providing positive developmental settings for
youth;

. the features of the out-of-school-time program in which they
work;

. their professional experience and training; and

. characteristics of their job and benefits.

Please help us learn more about how to keep good youth development

professionals working in our programs. You can get to the survey by

clicking on the following link:

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=723752175369

Complete a survey and get a chance to win one of 10 $50 gift
certificates we

will be giving away!

We would also ask that you pass this email on to any adults who work
with

youth (ages 10 - 18) in out-of-school time programs. We apologize if
you

have received this request multiple times and ask that you only complete
the

survey once.

If you have any questions or problems accessing the survey, please email

survey manager Laura Davidson at ldavidso at unr.nevada.edu.

Thank you for your time and involvement in helping us learn more about
what

makes a quality youth development professional.
