The Grand Street Settlement After-School Programs, located in Lower East
Side, is currently hiring for the 2009-2010 school year!
(2) Full time Site Coordinators
Monday – Friday; Occasional evenings and Saturdays
10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (35 hrs per week)
$38,000
Education/Experience required: College Degree required; previous work
experience in the New York City Public School System and/or with youth and
families.
* Job Summary:
Oversee project-based after-school enrichment program for 125 high school
students.
Several Part-Time Tutors
Monday – Friday; Occasional evenings and Saturdays
3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (10 to 15 hrs per week)
$15 per hour
Education/Experience required: College students majoring in Education and
2 years work experience with youth/adolescents.
* Job Summary: To provide academic support to high school students
with homework, tutoring and project-based learning activities; participate in
staff meetings as requested; provide all required data collection.
Several Part-time Activity Specialists
Monday – Friday; Occasional evenings and Saturdays
3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (10 to 15 hrs per week)
$15 per hour
Education/Experience required: College students majoring in Education and
2 years work experience with youth/adolescents.
* Job Summary: To facilitate the following project-based activities:
Performing Arts, Sports, Service Learning, Arts & Crafts, Cooking Class,
Computer Lab, College and Career Preparation; participate in staff meetings
as requested; provide all required data collection.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
· Must obtain Dept. of Health fingerprint clearance
· Doctor's note certifying good health; proof of
negative results from TB test;
· State Central Registry (SCR) clearance
